It was his money which people donated to h... moreYou sound like a Carl Pei groupie. First of all, Carl Pei didn't invent the Oneplus One, Oppo engineers did. He was the marketing guy that created the cringe 'Smash the past' campaign and was Oneplus spokesperson, so most people thought of him as the face of Oneplus.
Secondly, people investing in Nothing mostly because of BBK being the 'secret but not so secret' manufacturing partner of Nothing. Just ask Andy Rubin if credential alone is enough to keep a brand going. Rubin's Essential brand failed mostly because he couldn't achieve economies of scale and have to price Essential PH-1 way higher than segment rivals.
Carl Pei is good at creating hype, no doubt about that. But people need to stop idolizing him as if he is the messiah of tech world lol

When comes to premium and high qualitzy brands only Vertu was one among all of brands making cell phones.
Only Vertu were trully handmade, ultraelite quality brand and tottaly unique marvelous with a most of the beautification factor possible.
No other brand made in a factory by hundreds of machines were even half way close to Vertu.
This one could be the successor because Vertu is Gone from bussiness.
And even if not they would and could be far more better looking than current overpriced top dogs Like Sony, Samsung and Apple.

All they ever did is a copy and paste and all their phones are nothig just a heavy thick bricks without any kind of beautification factor but prison OS is their only trade mark and fact they willing to send to the courts any lesser company which stands in their way such as BOE in last articles.
