wickets, 09 May 2022is there anything stopping you from buying one and using it in the US? I would luv to try oneYou just need to manually enter the APN settings for use in the US. Getting OTA updates is doable but you will need a VPN and some more steps.
240hz refresh rate? Damn, i can't imagine how smooth that is.
DMX, 09 May 2022sony speak to youAs limited availability as Sony phones are, Sharp still beat Sony in terms of hard to get outside of Japan. Panasonic will be a close second.
Ohhh I love the way it looks 😍

Pumpino, 09 May 2022A 3,730 mAh battery on the midranger? That's just insulting. Why even bother?Maybe because it's pretty 'small' phone, with just 5.7" display? For that size I think it's ok.

As someone who has used numerous Sharp phones, I must say their phones are highly underrated. Their phones are really good to use & don't have any major drawbacks other than mediocre designs. Looking forward to trying out the R6 & R7 sometime soon.
I do think they should've paired the 1" main camera along with a secondary ultrawide camera instead of that unnecessary portrait camera. But as long as the primary camera is impressive, most people will be satisfied with it.
The global cell phone market should provide Sharp with additional opportunities.
Still feel the R6 is a better phone overall compared to R7 ..

Lol, even super cheap 8mp ultra wide camera would be better than nothing.
AnonD-937325, 09 May 2022GSMArena Team, I would like to ask you to add this phone this time. Please do not repeat what ... moreThe problem is Sharp phones have very limited availability. They used to be more widely available and even available in the USA, but Sharp has since withdrew from most global markets and focus only for Japan.
GS88, 09 May 2022Shouldn't it be 48MP? Did you read the part that says it's a new sensor?
This is how smartphone camera should be. Instead 4 or 5 lenses on the back that are pretty useless.
r3c, 09 May 2022Did you read the story ? Leica and Sharp developed it together.Oops, I actually read that part but it simply didn't register in my mind.
Rkm, 09 May 2022All new sensor? I don't recall a 1 inch 47 megapixel sensor being used anywhere.Did you read the story ? Leica and Sharp developed it together.
Like HTC's Butterfly series, very nice devices, but almost no japanese used network frequency sharing here in the uk, so almost usless, a wi-fi device only..
And not cheap..
