Micromax promised 2 years update but were unable to provide that so they removed any mention of 2 years update from their website. Which is hilarious.
The problem with "no update" is that they do not provide security updates as well, due to which some people suffer from ransomware attacks.

Don't buy micromax phone. Bought micromax IN 1 phone 1.5 yr ago but still not received any single update. They don't have updates for mediatek devices so how can you expect for Chinese Unisoc devices..!!???

why buy micropenus when you have a wide selection of affordable phones to choose from. Micromax is using "made in india" to sell their cheap garage which doesn't get any support.

I will recommend not to buy Micromax phones. They are cheating the buyers in the name of India.
I got In 2b, as Micromax had promised 2 years updates and regular security patch. It's 7 months and only single monthly update was recieved. Upon updating my phones started giving problems with screen. They flashed new software at their service centre once, but problems remained. Next they replaced the screen. But again problems started in a month time. Now neither they are not giving any patch of any update Nor they are responding any queries about it.
Check Twitter. It's flooded with update related complainta and queries.
