Mr.Subhajit, 16 Apr 2022They're saying chip shortage but launching phones every week...That's a good point and also manufacturers assume everyone sees camera and amoled screen as their top priority when buying a phone. I've said this on a lot of posts now that personally I hate amoled screens because they give me eyestrain and a headache so I actually want a phone with IPS LCD screen and also I think (again just my personal view) that almost all phone cameras do a great job taking pictures these days so I would rather have a more basic camera and a better chip to balance the cost if needed. It's fine if people are looking for the absolute best camera but also cater to people who are looking for a faster phone that doesn't lag because its features are crippled by using a less capable chipset. My original point also was if a chip shortage is why manufacturers are saying they using the 680/695 chip why is there no shortage of these chips?

Anonymous, 16 Apr 2022Can we have a better SoC than 680 or 695!. I mean can there be a phone with idk a 778g or mtk ... moreDude 695 is a way better chipset in terms of perf when compared to the 732g. The 695 essily outperforms a 750g. The only thing thats holding back the 695 is qualcomm itself cuttting down features like 4k video support

They see 50 or 108 megapixel camera, large display, big battery, they will buy it as long as it meets those needs.

I'm genuinely confused with phone manufacturers this year. The 680/695 soc seems to be in almost every midrange phone these days and they saying there's a chip shortage which is why these downgraded chips are in loads of phones but if there's a chip shortage why does there seem to be an endless supply of these 'new' chips? Surely if they can make these trash chips why not just make better quality ones instead? So many phones that had 7xx/8xx chipsets being downgraded to the 680/695. What's the point of adding 108mp cameras and amoled screens when the performance suffers because of inferior chipsets? A few years back the big selling point was bringing out newer 'faster' chips every year but now they crippling performance with these downgraded chips! Makes no sense whatsoever.
