I owned Samsung S21 Ultra, 1+ 9 Pro, and Huawei P40+ you thought ultrasonic should get pass the dirt & grime on the your tip no problem, and especially with dry skin condition you never be able to unlock the phone as adverted. There's nothing wrong with the technology but we have to consider personal condition as well......

The notch makes the iPhone stunning and different from other phones. Only a hole in the middle of the screen is so ugly. It's like a leak on the top of the screen. Samsung Galaxy s22 has a hole as front camera, honesty it is stupid. New upcoming iPhone 14 pro series with a pill and hole is also great.

If this is really the case then Apple should just keep the notch for another year. Making it even smaller will be better.
I don't support the notch but it's still better than the pill shaped punch hole.
