1. A phone to show excellence - ex : OnePlus pro, iPhone 13 Pro Max, S22 Ultra, Mi Ultra etc. costs are made in line with competition.
2. one is cheap phones - put basic required things and cut costs from all angles. make it shiny, colorful and market it. that's it
3. Toughest spot - mid range phones (lower-mid, mid-mid, upper-mid) : we had the game of trade-off. if we kept better camera then we made body plastic, or cheaper GPU, or cut the cost on optimization. we had many many different ways to build a phone and then we gave a green go to many different builds.
tip : 2 phone with same camera sensor but different software optimizations helped us keep better screen in one while trading it off in another.

dude oneplus release similar. to compete with apple SE series samsung create FE series and oneplus created Nord series

Anonymous, 05 Mar 2022Apart from Sony, if you don't mind a phone without GMS, try Huawei.Till now haven't tried living without google services, so can't say about it. I think I can buy and use as a secondary device, but then I won't know how it really feels to live without gms. But definitely will try a Huawei.

Pumpino, 05 Mar 2022They all have side fingerprint scanners and tend to be very expensive. I do like Sony though.I have a iPhone as my primary device and recently bought a Xperia 1 as the secondary device for wifi Hotspots. In fact I like the side mounted fingerprint sensor. Its faster than in display and more reliable. Obviously it's all about personal choice.

Pumpino, 04 Mar 2022It's really become a Samsung vs Apple market. It's kind of depressing. I used to avo... moreseriously.. 6-8 years ago.. every phone felt different.. Whereas HTC m7 had full metal build and front speakers.. whereas Sony had beautiful glass designs.. samsung had all the latest and greatest features and their single one phones ramped up our hearts.. Then there was LG with their unique quirky functionalities, and Nokia Lumias.. I genuinely felt so excitement using them.. ran to store just to feel them.. Now every phone is so bland.. thanks to chinese entry.. Their cheap prices, drove the competition to go non experimental way.. Samsung being the only one left to drive innovation.. but for how much time? It's nearly close that chinese starts copying the folds and offer them at 60-70k pricings.. Samsung R&D will not get less share.. next innovation getting cut down.. Happened with LG rollables remember ?

Your response is don't use any common sense or thought just choose iPhone.... Great advice. We wonder why it's a 2 company race if that's what the majority of people do 😑
