Pretty sure the reason being that it is an old mid-range SOC now and keeping a dedicated team of developers to provide monthly security updates for it did not seem feasible for Samsung.
You have to remember they have promised and delivered on their promises of long term software support for almost phones since late-2019. And as the years go by and more smartphones keep on releasing, the number of smartphones to support increases dramatically and so does the number of people to support them.
That's one of the primary reasons you could never make my buy a phone from the trash that Realme is, no matter how good the hardware for the money. A phone is nothing without its software. And the previous paragraph is the primary reason that Realme phones aren't supported for long. You need manpower to keep on doing the development.
And Realme is one big pile of steaming trash for not supporting their 4 month old tablet with an OS upgrade.
