BLee, 16 Feb 2022Will the Kompanio 1380 offer gaming support as well in the new Chromebooks?Chorome os has incoperated android apps, so you can enjoy mobile games. Personally, I hope that Google merges android 12L and chrome os so the two in one computers will be more user-friendly.

It's main purpose is to install chromeOS on other laptops, but it's worth giving a shot. It works on a lot of devices.

Nothing compares to a powerful launch by mediatek. This new chip comes with top features.
Kompanio 1380 seems impressive - I like the CPU improvements - will add value to gaming support
Mediatek is innovating at a really good pace. Love this new chipset for high-end chromebooks

What matters the most is battery efficiency, especially for Always Connected laptops.

Love it!!!
Lightweight & affordable.
But google support for the device is too short.
It doesn't receive update, and can't be installed alternative OS.
That's the story of my only Chromebook.
Now,
I'm back to supporting linux.
And suggesting normal pc instead of Chromebook
Mediatek, Exynos and Snapdragon need to work together with Google to significantly improve the Chromebook Platform. Right now, its mostly a lousy low energy laptop replacement, that really isn't geared for any seroous productivity work.
Anonymous, 27 Jan 2022 iPad Pro has also M1, which means iPadOS vs Chrome OS.still, ipadOS has a vast app ecosystem....vs kids chromeOS that has not even 10% of the ipads apps

A 1300T has no succesor and is likely that might be called 1500 later.
Basically a 1300T with no 5G support and downgraded GPU. It shouldn't be called 1380 as people would think that it's the better CPU when in reality it's not. 1280 should make better sense.
