Shellyman Studios, 13 Jan 2022It was never was canceled. Just delayed... Per the DSCC quoted from this very website, "Google has confirmed to multiple supply chain sources that its “Pixel Fold” has been shelved and won’t be released to market."
While that may not mean it was definitely canceled, this seems very likely. Canceled and delayed indefinitely are effectively the same thing

NEO, 13 Jan 2022Is foldable phone really a thing? Why would someone buy this?Foldable, yes. Although I'm not sure I understand the benefit of this aspect ratio. It doesn't give you much advantage to fold it, other than making the phone thicker (we don't need the phone to be much shorter, as the super tall phone aspect when unfolded is largely a failure (look at Sony phones, for example). People want the phones that fold out to make a large, wide rectangle. This is going to fail like the Moto is currently failing.

Technology improves, so hardware makers want to show off the latest.
But Apple is not showing off. They make sure there is a need for it, before they dive in. ie. Their notch is for the touchID feature.

if this phone has same screen aspect ratio as the Oppo N with google flawless software and top notch hardware spec, i would consider back to android and i know no one care but i do

All these punch-holes and notches are just cancer to mobile phones display.

Please please Google, no notch or pin hole in either inner or outer screen. Can we be done with them both? And stylus operation of both screens, to allow note taking on the outer display and drawing on the larger inner. Here’s hoping the Galaxy Fold 4 does the same.
