Anonymous, 11 Jan 2022I thought Android users cannot receive and send to iMessage users?Whilst there is a host of technical mumbojumbo available online to properly detail the differences between the two. The short version is this, messages between Android and iOS devices use SMS, and those between iOS devices use iMessage. This total non issue is apparently causing a degree is social incohesion for......well reasons it would seem.

Anonymous, 11 Jan 2022I thought Android users cannot receive and send to iMessage users? It goes through SMS. It's pretty stupid actually, my cousin also has iPhone and no one else. And because of that, I always received duplicated messages, one from SMS and one from iMessage. So I just turned iMessage off entirely because I just don't care about it. Now I just get one. It's still threaded under every user individually and I don't do big group chats. People really do this so much it's a thing?

Dave, 10 Jan 2022Did you read the article?? That's exactly the point - you either have apple or you'r... moreWell until you are capable of discerning between 'club' and 'cult' I'm afraid you are leaving yourself wide open to a world of problems.

Ignoring that for a second though, and ignoring the fact Apple have never promoted iMessage as a 'club', so any inference of it being such comes only from the minds of certain people.

At the end of the day, if you don't use iOS then you don't get access to iMessage, its a platform specific feature, how is this simple concept causing so much trouble!?!?!?

I have a doubt why they used green color to show its unencrypted message instead of warning with red😂
Or its apple who doesn't know green means go and red means alert or warning.
O wait apple is modding color meanings too......😂

I don't care what my iphone using friends think but i am not switching to iphone if they are seeing different color on my messages.... And about encryption I don't care if someone reads my "hi" or "i m not coming to work today" messages.
                      I use whatsapp for encryption.lol

Dami Agunbiade, 11 Jan 2022It's not really surprising. Too be fair if Apple cared that much they wouldn't have ... moreThe color is important, apple didn’t create bullying people did, the colors were there for, day1 to distinguish messages sent though iMessage or txt. Because if iMessage is not available it will go though txt.
And you would want to know if it’s txt or iMessage because of encryption and quality and all the other feature from iMessage

Anonymous, 10 Jan 2022They are not. It’s just that iMessage is not cross platform that’s allYes, iMessage only works on iPhones. That's why an alternative such as WhatsApp, Signal, Telegram or Viber etc. should be used instead.

i wouldnt even be surprised if most of the people discriminating the green bubbles are just girls who want to look good with their iphone and $30000 hangbag and excessive makeup.
