I too like small-ish phones but bcoz I didn't have a... moreYes, I'm on xda too. :) I sold my GT Neo due to it having the Chinese ROM. I wanted to import the X7 Max 5G to have the global ROM, as I loved the phone, but I couldn't find it anywhere. I just used the default GCam settings.
I'm using Wichaya's latest build on the Nord 2 and it works well for point and shoot (that's all I do). The colours are much more realistic than with the Nord 2's camera app (which produces over-saturated pics, even with HDR+ turned off).

I too like small-ish phones but bcoz I didn't have a big budget I ended up with the X7 Max (similar to ur Nord2) and then I found your post for GCam over on XDA!
idk but it keeps crashing often after taking a picture (more when I take HDR+ Enhanced or NightSight pics but sometimes even after taking normal HDR+ ones), and the viewfinder is laggy in photo mode but okay in video mode, plus the live view is pretty underexposed compared to the stock camera app.
And also if u could list some settings (shasta, sabre, frames, etc) which work best, it's be highly appreciated!
