Anyone own one? I wonder how good this phone is for normal non-gaming. The huge battery and display are very tempting.

This...took long enough. I already got my Xperia 1 iii despite contemplating this phone so Asus dropped the ball here.
Next year, they should just have a vanilla ROG with Dimensity 9000, Pro with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, and Ultimate with Gen 1+ (or whatever it will be called). No need for 5 devices where 4 are the same as each other. At least the 's' versions only have 3 versions instead of 8 (look up on their website with the amount of versions of LTE/5G bands for the vanilla ROG 5. It's crazy).

The refresh ... moreSeriously... Mobile gaming is heading towards PC gaming... Nothing wrong with seriously high refresh rates... Big ram. And powerful SoC's. As well as high sampling etc...
I have a red magic device. As a gaming phone and daily driver... Will never go back to tradiotnal flagships... No way. Not for me. Gaming phone all the way. And yes. There is a big difference between gaming phones and traditional flagships...

I understand Asus's background (dominating in the pc gaming market) but there's no need for this. Still yet to find a android game that requires this. My zenfone 6 on 855 with 6GB ram can handle genshin impact completely fine, and on the highest setting
