Maybe one of reasons they chose the not particularly great Nord 2 to have special edition is to take some attention away from the negative news about phones getting caught on fire. Or the sales already tanking and they need to reignite interest in the Nord 2.

I think the Pac-Man Edition looks worse than the standard Nord 2. From a generic but still somewhat classy looks, they turned it into a childish looking plaything. That Pac-Man case is especially atrocious.

the american market sucks (just iphones and samsungs-__-)I understand your pain brother, but you have the carriers and the govt to blame for that (and to some extent the people who are willing to repeatedly buy the same phone over again)!!
I got myself a X7 Max-12/256GB for ~$375 here in India and it's largely the same phone underneath except a slightly inferior main camera (nothing that GCam can't fix, but sadly no OIS), and it has a HP jack which is important to me; I did love the Green coloured Nord2, but it's $100 more expensive (since it's locked to the most expensive 12/256 variant).
Heck the A52s is even more expensive giving only 6/128GB for around $480 but at least it has a mSD slot, so that is a saving grace, but the S20FE is also available for the same price!
