Says for example if you're taking off from somewhere very high, like the Everest base station.

Congratulations to DJI for introducing Mavic 3 drone with upgrading changes in battery life,camera and flight distance. As an operator my concern is on battery life suppose DJI should plain of how to increase the battery life at 1 hour to help in tracking because when I'm tracking a target I do lost my target due to battery shortage. Thanks

It states that the telephoto is 12 MP. But what siΩe sensor does it use, or does it somehow share the 4/3 sensor that the wide angle uses?

Probably will able to reach that distance and for someone this capacity could be a welcome.
Unfortunately in the field you can't make it back flying Home because the battery runs out earlier?

That number (6km) is obviously the maximum service ceiling guaranteed by DJI, as always, as always, as always. Not the maximum altitude allowed to reach above the take-off point.

For a Hollywood producer that wants his drone carrying the same camera used on the ground and the capability for a 2nd pilot to operate the camera separate from the drone this one just doesn't have the features. For a an FPV pilot looking to race, this drone is a really poor choice.
But for a consumer wanting a camera drone, this is the highest end such drone on the market.

The drone is physically capable of flying higher, just limited from that height. I'll be surprised if the Mav3 actually lets it get that high. It would be awesome for sunset photos to easily get among the clouds if I'm wrong though.

When flying in complex environments such as near power lines, cell phone towers, home wifi stations, ect, max range is greatly reduced. Having a stronger signal doesn't mean you'll fly it further out, it means your signal will be steadier at the distances you already fly it.

The 46 minutes is advertised for 15.5mph or 25kph. So the drone won't even make it to 30kms. It will cross that limit either due to winds or it was launched from some distance from the controller.
