And I'm sure it was made much smoother in A11 but if you prefer android 9 then you can absolutely keep it that way

Even if certain a... moreyou'll be fine bruv android 9 isn't the end of the world, you'll have at least 5 years without difficulty or dropped support. here I am with no problems with 8 and my mum with an android 6 still works for her basic chrome, youtube and messaging (though I'm not sure how much longer it will last)

My black Pixel 3 is still on Android 9 and I plan to keep it on Pie forever. Even if certain apps stop working, I'll keep it on Pie and just get an older apk for it. I only really need certain apps for my Pixel 3 since it's basically retired. Like multimedia apps, emulators, streaming services apps.

I don't have a great experience with any Android above 9. Nova gets laggy by 10 every time I go back home. There is a hesitation that has never been fixed. And some of my apps gets broken after 9. It's because swipe up goes back home while Pie was recent menu and it still had a back button.

Pie remains my favorite Android version. And from my experience, battery gets worse by 15% each time I update my Pixel. So lesson learned. My Pixel 3 is very lucky it got downgraded to 9 because 10 made it horrible. I hated a lot of things about 10. My battery is also much better on 9.
