It had top 3 camera performance defeating flagships of its time

Why was this?

Especially because at this time no night mode was on any iPhone and it's nightmode put other flagships to shame

But it because of lower brand recognition this fact was not acknowledged

Budget and midrangers last just as long as flagships. People are better off buying a phone for what their needs are now. Whether a light or heavy user, usage patterns probably won't change enough during the life of the phone to require a more powerful phone. Besides, the average user might keep their phone for 1-3 years, and things no longer change that dramatically with hardware within that period.

For me, most important part in phone is camera. Haven't seen not a single mid range or budget phone here that got at least 'mkaish' camera. Even a lot of flagships have utter mess (yes, mostly you, Samsung) instead of camera. So no, anything less than camera flagship isn't for me.

Why cant budget phones last for over 3-4 years ? My budget phone also is over 3 years old and i dont see nothing wrong with it.

So you spend 3-4 times more for a phone and then use it 3-4 years. That's a joke. You should use it 5-6 years if you think paying more for lasting longer. Not really smart move to buy flagships for 3-4 years to say i am not rich. The more time goes on the longer the budget range phone last with there hardware power. I have SD636 phone with 3GB ram and it have lasted me over 3 years no problems even now. I think these phones up to 200 euro even from today would last 4-5 years before the need to change cause of the battery wont last

But people have their Midrangers for just as long

Especially seeing that graphical demands and performance in general for apps etc a growing slower than the improvements of hardware..

Midranges are getting fast UFS storage that old flagships had

I simply can't afford cheap products. Flagship usually serves me 3-4 years before finally coming obsolete (Sometimes more. I am still using both Nokia 808 and Lumia 950XL until today as secondary drivers). Can't say same for budget phones.

For me it just makes no sense. It's not like these flagship phones last 10 years for you for the price they ask for. They still have built in battery. And i prefer to buy phone out in one go also when battery fails then it's good time to buy new phone and dont need to care for the battery change process so the phone will last more few years. And these 200 euro phones these days have enough hardware and cameras also are good enough for the majority of people

That's why there's a ton of budget offerings for every phone manufacturer. If these flagships are priced affordably, am sure people will buy them over budget offerings.

AhmedSLL, 14 Oct 2021There should've been a 6Gb ram version, color os with 4gb is not a good thing.Agree, also, for android phones, if you want a smooth interface, it needs atleast 6gb ram. Buttery smooth, if its only 4gb, you can still feel some stutters. Android is a ram hog.

Last 15 years or so I've bought only flagships. So no, i don't 'dare to leap' into low end trash.
In addition, somehow I've disliked Realme from day one. Probably because of the brand name.

Duderino, 14 Oct 2021Exactly. Fake ssd ram isn't ram. While swapping is something we've always been doing on Linux to extend the RAM a bit, both with mechanical media and flash storage, I'm unsure how good of an idea it is on phones. One wonders how long it'll take to wear out the memory on a phone.
