Mobile phones can only get as much updates as the manufacturer of the SoC updates drivers for their chips.! Qualcomm provides lyk 3years of driver updates, and that's why most android phones can't go past 3years of os updates. But that might change very soon.

The saving the environment notion is a big fat lie. You really wanna save the environment, add removable batteries to all the phones and put a minimum of 5 years O.S updates.

I think has good the xiaomi promise 3 years of updates e security updates for all smartphones coming in front..

Moto, 10 Sep 2021And Symbian in 2009 (N86). Even Windows phone got it in 2013.Yeah, after searching about it, Always-on displays was already on Symbian and Windows Phone quite early on. Though, from I can recall, the first time Android phones with always-on display was in 2016
