And regardless how much it improves, there will always be issues, privacy is one of the biggest one, and the other is that there are MUCH BETTER alternatives that achieve THE EXACT SAME RESULT, such as "disappearing camera", that this UDC thingy by being forced into the center of the attention is preventing from becoming a thing.

Honestly, I couldn't care less if it exists on the market, phones with awful tech in it.
Not only, everyone is free to have whatever they want, but it is exactly what I want, freedom for anyone to get whatever they want.
But having everyone forced into a single tech, which is non arguably the worst solution possible because of its huge list of cons, this isn't something that I can tolerate.
What we need is diversity, not a lack of it, no market ever do that for a good reason.
Having UDC in the market? Sure, but it should not justify to remove any other, and when I say any other, I mean the already rare one like bezel, pop up, flip up, sliders, no front camera (second display on the back or not), than those who are already doing this like teardrop notches and punch holes.
What we need is a good enough number of those, so there is the possibility for whoever wants it to find even niche combination of features.
Obviously techs like pop up, flip up and sliders are in much inferior demands than bezels, so obviously less phones models with those would be available, but also, for each feature types, less individual units of those models would simply be made, simply based on the volume of demand.
That's how every single other industry on the planet works, and this is the healthiest for consumers.
MAINLY with smartphones where so many things can just be re-used and where it is almost child play to simply make a sub-variant of a phone with a different feature/design.
Things like cheap phones with high-end SoC like the original Pocophone had should be more common, or midrange specs with premium camera setup, but the only reason why don't have this is pure greed, simply to force anyone who want a powerful/great camera device to buy expensive ones.
This is pure anti-consumer.

I prefer no front camera over pop up, heck, I didn't even write "pop up" in this answer you replied to.
And this is hilarious that you say "Just accept different people like different things and move" because the very reason why I talk so much about pop up isn't because I like it more than other options, but because there is so much unjustified hate toward it that I defend it more often, EXACTLY because people DON'T accept that something else than their own tastes and/or what is trending can exist.
And the very reason why I fight against underdiplay camera is EXACTLY because the industry, pushed by those exact people, want to make the UDC the ONLY AVAILABLE option.
But since debating with people on here feel like trying to communicate with a bot with no capability to understand basic sentences, and who won't change whatever it said, regardless how many explanations or proofs you gave, I am not surprised to have to, yet again, explain this.

Just accept not everybody, myself 8ncluded have a problem with punch hole front cameras. I really don't notice it's there and would rather have it than big bezels or a notch. I'm not against pop up cameras either but prefer less moving parts but I agree it's probably the best solution for a true full screen experience along with a good ffc. Just accept different people like different things and move on instead of ranting in every thread about how great pop up cameras are dude. Anyways peace to you buddy just chill and enjoy whatever phone you have ✌️

If only ZTE was better at software support, I would definitely consider it.
But let's talk build quality. For 500 USD, a plastick back is a bit unacceptable for me.

The selfy shot there looks terrible. It's like a cardboard cut out put in a picture.
Most companies can do photos, but maybe none do good video at 8k, and none do very good at 4k, and the camera apps are often lacking or woeful and lacking, and anybody who wants to do good video, should get an extra app, even a free one like open camera.

It was a promise of something more than a real tech, as much as the punch hole was, but exactly like punch holes and notches never fixed any issues but only bring new ones, so it will.

This looks perfect to me. And price is adequate, samsung will charge you $2000 at least for this tech, while their UD in fold 3 is just awful.
But would like to have it with Qi charging + reverse, if no 3.5 jack.

But when it comes to justifying UDC, suddenly punch holes become this awful thing we should get rid of at any cost...
And you didn't understand the low price problem, it isn't what it cost now the issue, it is how much future phones will cost.
Well, if they keep making UDC with crappy quality, the price will indeed not really increase much though, except for the need to cover all the R&D of course.
A slim bezel like the Nubia Red Magics is infinitely better than this contraption.
