I'm not sure you can see the difference between 50fps and 55fps without a fps counter.
1200 provides AV1 hardware decoding, hardware HDR video recording, far better AI (in real tests, not Tops propaganda)...
In my opinion a better choice than SD870.

When I said ... moreYeah 888 needs a lot of cooling to get that fps. But theres no need to get a 888 to beat a 1200 in gaming, just get a 870. Look at poco f3 870 vs f3 gt 1200 on golden reviewer.
Exynos cant even be compared, those samsungs throttle very fast.

I want to see the rest of the specs for this. Here's hoping Dimensity can finally record videos at 4K@120fps finally; it doesn't even have to have 8K yet.
Their processors can already handle massive Megapixel counts.

When I said 45fps, it was on Nord 2, a "tiny" non gaming phone, not a thick 6.8"...I wouldn't be surprised if F3 GT gets better results (but I didn't test it).
Not to forget, Mediatek gets these sustained results with a tiny G77mp9 and without X1 cores...and it's far better than Exynos with X1 and G78mp14!

Last year, Dimensity 1000 serie : ok to decode!
Nearly all streaming services use or are about to use AV1...including Apple's one.
Or you can play Genshin Impact during more than 10minutes on S21 (SD version) or Xperia 1III.
See how they fall from 60 to 25fps...

The SD888 gets hot because the GPU has been uprated with a much higher clock speed.
I suspect MediaTek has been holding off competing with Qualcomm because the the way the USA destroyed Huawei when they tried to compete. But now the US is in full on defend Taiwan mode, Mediatek probably feels safe.
I might hold off replacing my main phone for something with a Mediatek 2000. I don't like Qualcomm as a company due to its commercial practices, so voting with wallet would make sense.

When comes to CPU mediatek did blow earth with chips used in Xiaomi redmi note 8 pro since then they growning up a lot.
Sooon or later they can become best CPU maker in the world.
Or as long as the top class Qualcomm chips will overheating and lagging a lot due to massive heat Mediatek will kep better.
Samsung chipsets i mean exynos werent great since they made first one.
When comes to quality Huawei and they kirin line always won over anything else.
And TSMC M line is famous for their throttling. Having fastest CPU on paper is great only on Paper in real llife experience they are on par with UNISOC.
