IMO, 01 Apr 2023This phone is so unfriendly. I have tried and tried with it but it keeps letting me down. Just... moreBought this phone as my present one is now only 2G,it is a nightmare,as I'm eldery I
need a mobile but this phone is nice to look at but totally totally useless, won't let me add names, sometimes you have to keep putting phone number in before you can make a call even though that person is on your phone list. I mostly use text & this is a nightmare too.
Amazing what it claims to do for the price, but there it ends... Accessing it phonebook is awkward at best and sending texts is 'challenging' to say the least. Like it keeps on defaulting to numbers when letters had previously been set. The navigation 4-way plus central 'enter' button is very erratic. So an absolute pain to use overall. You get a camera, but picture quality is appalling. The calculator is very basic. It does have a voice recorder, which is useful for memos. You can upload ringtones (as MP3s) from a PC.
In short: neat, elegant and WRONG.
IMO, 01 Apr 2023This phone is so unfriendly. I have tried and tried with it but it keeps letting me down. Just... moreNo need for me to dump the phone as it has stopped working. It won't make calls or send texts. They must have known. No refund from Tesco as it is over 30 days. They will only send it off for repair but as I don't want it repaired I am the loser.
D.D, 28 Feb 2023Thank goodness you wrote that ! I have just got this phone and have rung the emergency service... moreThis phone is so unfriendly. I have tried and tried with it but it keeps letting me down. Just one example - if a text doesn't send due to an insufficient signal there is no way that I have found where the phone enables you to resend it. A resend option doesn't exist. There is a forward option but it doesn't tell you if it has been forwarded. Someone told me (the original recipient) that they had received the forwarded message five times and yet at no time did the phone advise me that it had been forwarded. In fact I had tried to forward it only twice, so five times??? There are so many other, totally unnecessary, problems with its operation, such as it constantly trying to call the emergency services. I will be dumping it. Avoid.
IMO, 16 Feb 2023The IMO 4G cannot be kept in the pocket when switched on as it will keep calling the emergency... moreThank goodness you wrote that ! I have just got this phone and have rung the emergency services twice!
I have searched for a way to switch it off and there is no way!
Now I have to keep it in my handbag, and even that touched the emergency button!
Dreadful....but glad it is not just me.
The IMO 4G cannot be kept in the pocket when switched on as it will keep calling the emergency services. This 'feature' cannot be turned off. There is no point in having a small pocket friendly feature phone that has to be switched off when in your pocket.
The IMO Dash (fully unlocked) will not work with Three Mobile SIM cards. This also includes ID Mobile SIM cards (and possibly others) as their services are provided by Three Mobile.
There appears to be no way around this issue 😕
I think the imo 4g dash but phone is a great little phone for the price call quality is good I got music wallpapers family photo's which I downloaded.i have had so many smartphones which I have a mixture of faults and just not getting on with them so gone back to simplicity and the imo dash 4g is just that and everything I need and I will not be going back to smartphones thank you dapper cardiff
Anonymous, 17 Aug 2021No it's 4G The 3G one is 3G but the 4G one is 4G.
The 4G one has got 4G written on the box, the 3G one hasn't.
cyber, 17 Aug 2021what a joke,4g for making callsThere is so much difference in 2g/3g vs 4g voice call quality. 4g calls give so much better voice quality.
A very nice 4G network mixed with 48mb ram. Yeah, what I'm gonna do with all that data plan. Browse the internet until it lags?
cyber, 17 Aug 2021what a joke,4g for making callsActually with VoLTE 4G is indeed for making calls as it makes better with HD voice, also 2G networks are going down and phones like these will ease transition in grace period.
cyber, 17 Aug 2021what a joke,4g for making calls2G and 3G networks are fading out so 4G for calling is no joke, just the new standard.
Is there any phone that cheap that comes with personal hotspot?
Opportunity missed. Would have been good if it could have been used at least for tethering!
what a joke,4g for making calls
