MarcosSD, 12 Aug 2021Motorola software support really sucksI agree bro. the software support and the update situation of Motorola really sucks. but that, now happening with every android brand. For one year or so they'll give good support but there comes a point where every brand unleashes their true color. On the software experience front I'll say Motorola is far ahead of the rest of brands. So I guess if it comes at very reasonable price it has much to the Indian midrange market.
If at all, moto edge 20 pro comes to india, i will be willing to pay 30-35k for it..for its a good speced phone
Does both this device support Dual 5G on both the SIMS ???
If the price is between 24-26, I might consider buying it. Because I have waited long enough for a good spec'ed MOTO phone. This is it. I'm using Moto for 3.5 years and I think If the pricing is not compromising, then I might choose Nord 2. Price is bit high but I might get the Nord experience.
It's all worthless unless Motorola increases the size of their software team from 2 guys to at least 20.

And most people prefer dual sim, rather than 1 sim and 1 microSD.
Charging? It's still 55% faster than Moto. Moto's charging sucks literally. My mom doesn't use it much. That's why she charge it every 4 days and it takes 2 hours to charge completely. I won't be able to handle it.
I too have heard that proximity sensor is having issue on RN 10 series. Frankly, I've never used Xiaomi device until this June (Mi 10T) and I was way too impressed by the software experience. But, I guess, it the most premium lineup from Xiaomi so it'll have better experience. I don't think I'd be able to live with stock Android again.
So, it's personal preference. I can't make you believe that MIUI is great or vice versa. My mom is too happy with her phone because her needs suits that. I too, think it's better for her. At least she won't bother me to fix her phone's software, which could have been the case with Xiaomi.

I see hardly anyone using it. Second thing, 33Watt charging. It's not that great. It takes more than a hour. Redmi off late are having lots of bugs in their software. Not just this but every other smartphone. Quality control issues are there. Which can be solved either by replacing units or by flashing custom roms. Redmi Note doesn't work well on MIUI. It works way better on custom rom(saying this after using every smartphone in this series except Redmi Note 6 Pro and Redmi Note 9). Moto G40 at 12999 was killer deal. LCD panel is of great quality. Not like Poco X3 Pro which has issues on their panel.

And it doesn't offer any "great value" compared to RN 10 Pro. Adding an AMOLED, that too, a good quality will take the price up be at least another INR 1000 ($20). Then, RN 10 Pro has a frosted glass back to
Nevertheless, I too, bought G40 for my mom (because she insisted for something less complicated than MIUI). And its quite decent phone, but in no way is "better value" than RN 10 Pro. If anything, both of them are on the same page, if you exclude "Xiaomi only features" like IR blaster, 33W charging, etc.
will it have a compass ???, Motorola has a bad habit of omitting compass sensor.....
Anonymous, 11 Aug 2021Yes agreed But still they are great products. I have Moto G40 Fusion and Redmi Note 10 Pro. I find Moto amazing value for money if you can exclude amoled display. For custom roms, Redmi Note 10 Pro is great. But otherwise Moto is best bang for buck. Moto should price it well according to me, they will do well in years to come in India.
At least they where so smart to add more 5G bands.

Price is important. Fusion must cost 20-21K for 6+128 only model with hybrid card slot. We have atleast one great network now in each circle. Jio is overall good for better coverage PAN India. But overall we don't need to carry two sims anywhere. Regular Moto Edge 20 should cost 26K for 6+128 and 30K 8+256. It will be a great deal according to me.
