It's a shame that Google is not producing anymore smaller phones (6in screen or lower). That was one of the main reasons I would always buy them. The pixel 5 for example was the perfect screen size. Having larger phones just makes carrying them so uncomfortable. I guess I'll have to look elsewhere now.

The 4a was the perfect size for those who don't like giant phones in their pocket. Now we're back to no decent smaller new phones, aside from the iPhone SE2 and iPhone 12 Mini. Even Apple's Mini is rumored to being discontinued in the near future. I guess the market has spoken.

Anonymous, 06 Aug 2021Should cancel this device. Why? It is "for me" far better than the 6 series. This is the one I have been waiting for! It will do EVERYTHING the 6 can for much less and with proven technology. We have no idea what the new Google SOC will be like in real world use! SMH

Considering that the 5a is modeled somewhat to the Pixel 4a 5G which was $499...a price of $450 for the Pixel 5a sounds just about right. I'm not sure why the force about the $450 price.
Now lets hope the starting price for Pixel 6 will be ($700 < $800) and that for the Pixel 6 Pro will be ($800 < $900)

To clarify, will the Pixel 5a have a 6.4" screen as stated on this article or 6.2" screen as in the 4a 5G? Rumors had it, the 5a will have similar size screen as the 4a 5G.
