Anonymous, 28 Jul 2021Smartphone cameras have already taken over vlog cameras. This is an extinct segment And which smartphone would that be? I have yet to see a YT channel that does well and its shot on a smartphone. Quality of video is beyond obvious with naked eye between any smartphone and RX100, what makes the difference is the lens.

I'll ask you a simple question.. Are you taking images to shoot images for the billboard?
Most consumers aren't using it for that either. The average consumer doesn't want to fiddle with manual mode or RAW. this is why he suggested smartphones are better in most scenarios for most people.

I personally adore Sony cameras, but I do not like their phones, speakers, most of their headphones, I could not care less for Playstation or Sony TVs etc.

I stopped taking my mirrorless camera on vacations ever since I switched to the
Huawei P40 pro & MI 11 ultra later.
Only place I recommend taking out your mirrorless cameras is when you want to do professional work. Everywhere else smartphone are more than enough.

IMHO ZV-E10 is shockingly good for the price ... moreAs smartphones moving towards 1" sensor, I think its a good move by Sony. Maybe Xperia is slowly preparing their near 1" sensor as well.
Yes lens on 1" sensor actual camera always better than plastic one that smartphone are using. But market for it for sure slowing down due to people will choose the all-in-one that available in a smartphone. At least between 1" and APSC, its a huge different market segment.

IMHO ZV-E10 is shockingly good for the price segment, too bad they used the old abysmal menu on this thing and not a new, usable, one.

The AF, shutter and ISO are programmed to operate upon a very specific range. What you said is true, but it's a big overstatement.

If taking design (tower & rangefinder look) as consideration, yes you do have a point. However, X-E4 LCD can just tilt but no swivel, unlike ZV-E10, which target to vloggers.

I for one will take Fuji over Sony APSC, anyday. Just highlighting that Sony does has some advantage over Fuji on this one.

Something else. Manual mode is just to make photos comeout the way you want.
Using the same settings of a photo taken on auto is not gonna change anything.
Photos of sports event that are used on social media are all auto/jpeg. No time to edit.
Still 10000x better than any phone.
