Weretnot wealthy, and it's made even more apparent when in India. It's super important to have a decent phone there at a reasonable price. Maximum rs7000 sounds about right.

For them, performance won't be as much as a deciding factor as the price. If it's decently priced, then good, but if not, then... Idk.

- on thin profit margins.
- target lower-middle class
- prices always just above the lower end (for phones max ₹7000)
- no fancy/flashy features ( no fingerprint sensor, only 2 cameras, cheap sturdy flexible plastic is ok)
- replaceable parts

I have purchased in 1b and it is working awesome...but what the problem is
1. I am not able to hide any app
2. There is no time-lapse video feature in camera
And I wish that it could be fixed with other updates

If micromax wants to be succeed again they have to launch some phone between the budget of 10k to 20k with same or better vfm as Chinese manufacturers with at least 2 major android updates

All they care is about that it should not lag (Good Ram & storage makes it bonus) & camera should be good.

the only way i see micromax reviving themselves is using SD 480 chip. its a good budget chip that hardly exists in phones available in india. and reliable performance is the bare minimum you can expect from a phone right? be it of any price...
no critical buyer would buy unisoc! im not sure who are their target customers.
