AljeanT, 10 Jun 2021The Pro model is a midrange phone ?? !Yeah, I guess this is quite common for other brands also but in previous years this series always used flagship chips for the pro model (and up until the 20 series even for the non-pro model). They are now going down the OPPO Reno series route of expensive midrangers targeting mostly offline sales. These are likely to be priced highly relative to the specs. I think it would be ok if they offered a really good camera setup like last year's 30 series but it looks from the renders like they won't (maybe just a good main sensor).

I'm actually surprised the S778 and S780 are so far behind the D1100 in raw performance. I wonder how the the prices of S778 and S780 phones will compare to phones with S870, D1200 and D1100. Knowing Qualcomm these will be priced too high to make much sense.

Anonymous, 09 Jun 2021I think the 778 is supposedly better than the 780Better? I think it's supposedly worse because it's more like the cheaper budget brother of the 780. It's based on the 6nm instead of 5nm process with which the 780 is fabbed, isn't it. I aasumed Honor minimum uses the 870 for the Pro(+) model(s) but this seems to gonna be a ridiculous joke using a midrange SOC and gonna call it 'Pro' or even 'Pro+', not even mentioning the presumably lack of a periscope module.
