Launching affordable midrange phones with good battery and camera are the best move they could make. Most of the ordinary buyers don't need the 870 or the 888, I am not saying that a honor 50 pro plus won't be welcomed though.

I don't have high hopes they will release it outside China even if they launch it. For now honor will want to get market share and the mid-rangers are the way to go. I would love them to release a phone to complete with Samsung's s21 plus, oneplus' 8 and xiaomi's mi 11 though

I'm surprised not to see SD 888 on this phone. But then again, the SD 778G itself is still a capable chipset since it is based on the SD 780G.

I'm a MTK skeptic like most, but I can say that I haven't noticed anything weird about my D1100 phone. The only annoyance I've ran into is that Realme's camera keeps some heavy beautification on even when you turn it off. 😡😡😡 Everything else is running circles around all my Snapdragon 700 phones. If I could only get a Pixel software experience with a Dimensity 1100 or 1200.

SShreyas, 10 Jun 2021What's "wow" in that? 780G is almost comparable to 855778G is exactly the same chip as 780G, but with TSMC 6nm and slightly underclocked GPU. 778G might actually boast better thermals.
