Kuba, 18 Jun 2021which is good. stop buying chinese productsHmm, what's wrong with Chinese products anyway?
Sad to say I had a LG Velvet and it was the worst phone I ever had. I had other LG but this phone dropped calls. First I thought it was the first phone but after the second and third phone doing the same. It was the LG.
YUKI93, 04 Jun 2021Maybe this could actually be the new V70 but LG thought of making it as the Pro moniker for th... moreMaybe they found a solution ? Or at least decent optimization ? We may never know :/
Probably their best phone and yet, they tossed it before. Poor choice. Someone REALLY wanted to kill LG Smartphone division. Sad.

raymond langley, 09 Jun 2021Just can't believe in Canada the only competition Apple has for High end phone is now Sam... moreNo kidding we get hosed here. Worst selection of phones, no natively available chinese superphones and some of the highest wireless plan rates on the planet. O canada....
Just can't believe in Canada the only competition Apple has for High end phone is now Samsung
Sad to see competition against apple is getting somewhat smaller. At least Blu phones are getting up there. LG had some decent phones but recently haven’t gave anything unique enough or durable for apple /Samsung a run for their money.
I'm trying hard to feel sad about LG leaving the phone market. Less diversity, less competition, it should be bad for consumers, right? But I can't think of a time since the LG G4 that I would've recommended an LG phone at any price point. Losing the absolute worst option at all price points just doesn't feel bad at all.

But LG Wing was the first one that lacked 3.5mm.
Anyhow 4500mAh battery for it's size is actually not bad, but looking at how power hungry SD888 is I guess this thing would have regular battery life.
Was the Velvet 2 Pro not having a headphone jack the real reason why LG killed off its smartphone division? Maybe it was the last straw, at least?
Killer037, 05 Jun 2021I wish LG never stopped making phones, i've had LG from the K360 till today i have the Ve... morewish the same, LG to continue making smartphones and gadgets and sell in all countries, including Indonesia, still love the first V series 990DS, but, i also understand that it is too bad they have to stop as a part of South Korean government strategy to dominate global market, they strategize on all company, Hyundai, Daewoo, LG, Samsung, CJ, seems they none of their product similar to each other
I'm waiting for the Xperia 5 III to come out so I can ditch my Velvet 5G 1. Software updates are only security patches arriving 1 month late every 2 months. There's never a bug fixed. My TV is the same. LG should just quit all software.
WiFi periodically stalls. Heavy use completely kills it.
Random LTE/5G drops after texting or calling.
The messaging app has alerts backwards - Buzzes and beeps while you're using it, silent when you're not.
The messaging app can't send photos to iPhones.
The messaging app delivery reports setting won't stay on.
GPS and compass become erratic after using it for a while.
Sound sometimes doesn't come out of one speaker.
Charging causing electrical noise on the headphone jack.
Can't turn down phone volume far enough.
Camera randomly stops autofocusing.
I love my velvet 5G I think LG should cancel cancelling their phone division and just keep making them lol and the 765g is not a bad SoC because it's very efficient, my phone never gets warm while playing games all day even emulated psp games.
I wish LG never stopped making phones, i've had LG from the K360 till today i have the Velvet. I have only never had the G1 G3 amd G6 but every other G series and other flagships.
This seems very fishy why did they shut the phone division while phones were still in production?
My first flagship phone i ever had was LG G3. I loved the phone and the company. The dual screen function was interesting and i was interested of getting one. But it never came to my region. Im really sad because instead of fixing thier updates problem and improve their phones they kept changing thier ideas and disappointing thier fans. And now they shutdown the phone business.
