This phone is still running on an android 12. Why aren't we getting the latest update for this phone. The last update was in august last year. What's the problem?

Anyone hear about a release date? I am up for an upgrade on Verizon, but will wait till they get this new one.
which screen is cheaper - 5.5 inch oled or 6.8 inch lcd, given both are fhd 60hz/90 hz

My experience with Motorola for both hardware and after sales service have been very poor, suggest people to take caution.

Turns out the the SD 480 is as capable as a midlevel SD7xxx.
This Moto phone actually has good power under the hood ... and snapdragon has a budget 5G winner with this chipset imho.

So pepol are now 'realizing' the sd480 was made for big little guys. When it was announced i was so excited i use the spec as my dp.
I thought ' it ws made 4 me. Midrange speed, little gaming here and there, fast modem, battery efficient on 4G, dead cheap! Thats my soc!

Great idea from Motorola to choose snapdragon 480.
1. The Snapdragon 480 will cost almost nothing compared to high end phones like the Galaxy Note. But still can deliver almost the same speed download on internet.
2. The legacy of snapdragon 480 it designed in the 5G architecture wish short time to play like online games.
3. The capacity of snapdragon 480 it a 5G one.
And the Snapdragon 480 is comparable to a snapdragon 720s. I believe the Moto G Stylus 5G it is not impressive on paper but those whom will buy the phone, will enjoy the user experience at a very good price point. I am very excited about the phone for those who can't afford like the Galaxy Note series.

My LG K92 I got literally the day before they announced they were leaving the smartphone market. I've loved this thing every second that I've used it. Motorola should be embarrassed to be putting something as mediocre as a Snapdragon 480 in the G Stylus. It may support 5g but I can guarantee it won't be able to take full advantage of it and the camera is going to also be really bad because the 480 just won't be able to keep up with a 48mp sensor. Motorola used to be one of my favorite phone companies, but after dealing with the Moto G7 Power that I replaced with my LG K92, I will never buy another Motorola phone. The only nice thing I can say about phones like the G7 Power and Moto G power are that they have battery life as good as advertised. However literally everything else about them is trash and I don't expect the G Stylus to improve on any of that. The only way I could reasonably see Motorola phones ever being a good option anymore is if there's a really good carrier deal or sale. Otherwise I'm steering clear for good.

Oops, take my previous comment with a grain of salt, turns out the snapdragon 480 is a nice new little chip.
the 480 chipset is actually "competitive" with, and has a few more advanced features, than the Snapdragon 732G when you check the comparisons online, surprise for me.

Watering down the phone hardware to accomodate the extra cost of 5G parts.
Sales and perception will now depend on price imho:
Less than $200US for unlocked? a snapdragon 4xxx is do-able (remember this is 5G, extra $$$)
$200 to $250US it would need a snapdragon 6xxx series to be popular
$250-$300US it would need a snapdragon 7xxx series to be popular.
And if you don't want or need 5G yet then you may want to look at some other models where you get more useful features for your money.

LG used to provide budget phones with stylus. now they have closed. Motorola filled the gap hope all their models will be available in India
