if it has Bixby and Samsung Pay instead of Google Assistant and G-Pay, and GPS but no compass, and 4 GB of storage with 3 occupied by the OS will roughly be as good as current ones, but will not last a full day.

They should look into the original Huawei Watch. It was expensive, but it's still running 6 years later, has almost no bezel compared to any other watch, and still looks new. The sapphire OLED screen, and the electroplating on the cold rolled steel body and Milanese band also still looks new.
Why can't they make that anymore?

A 4100+ is a terrible idea Qualcomm watch chips aren't as efficient as Samsung. Especially when the Samsung chip will be 5nm compared to 12nm. Any wear OS is combining with tizen so wear OS for all future watches will look like Samsung tizen but with Google apps and the added benefit of being more efficient than the original wear OS

In fact the ticwatch 3 pro has a better life per mAh than the samsung watch 3 .

If Samsung can bring the Tizen battery management to future Wear OS Galaxy Watch smartwatches, I don't mind migrating to Wear OS. For now though, I'm sticking to Tizen because of the battery life.

Samsung should allow for Tizen to be completely open, for a plethora or developers to be able to work on it. And for Both the Smartwatch as well as the Smartphone division.
iOS and Android are great, but there need to be more OS options.
The developmental costs are enormous, so Samsung should find independent developers to collaborate with. There are hundreds of thousands of developers who aren't associated with Google or Apple, and who are equally talented, if not more.

tkSteveFOX, 20 May 2021So weird these watch SoCs. All they need is a dual core A55 that's clocked around 1.8GhZ... moreAnyway. Better performance will always lead to better battery life. Because either task finish fast.. or running with less load.

5nm soc will definitely improve the battery life by huge margin...battery life is the most needed improvement & lookslike with google partnership samsung exynos has better future

                              So weird these watch SoCs.
All they need is a dual core A55 that's clocked around 1.8GhZ and 1gb RAM. I would also put like a super-small core for idle tasks, a very simple GPU(single core Mali G32 or something,.clocked at 300MHz) and that's it.
Manufacturer it on a mature node like TSMCs 10nm-12nm and you have a real winner.
Power consumption should be good for 3-4 days of WearOS.

Exynos is back! Finally some competition in the wearable SoC market because Qualcomm kept recycling old chips from the early to mid 2010s.
