Sad. Very sad. Singapore also opened pre-order but only for the normal black version. Checked with their online staff and they say no news of Ultimate, Pro, or even the normal Storm White version. Considering Singapore sells this phone at exorbitant price (SGD 1499, you can do your own conversion to your currency), it is going to be a hard sell. Oh, anyway, Singapore getting the 16GB RAM, 256GB ROM version.

Anon, 15 Apr 2021Seeing their Android updates situation, I wouldn't touch Asus.Zenfone 5, 6, and 7 were all pretty good on updates.
ROG is a later but has a lot more extra gaming features.. guess that takes time or something..

Anon, 15 Apr 2021Seeing their Android updates situation, I wouldn't touch Asus.The Zenfone 6 got updates timely.
Got android 11 four months ago and currently in march security patch.
But Asus is lazy with updates for ROG series.

These devices bend because of structural flaws that can be circumvented by using a case.

That doesn't make any sense since 95% of cases are made from silicon and rubber. Only a thick metal case with very tight fit would solve the problem

Let's be real, the price isn't so bad after all. And the durability all on it's own is pretty good, no one, I mean no one will ever bend there phone like jerry did, when bending, yield strength is what's being calculated, but when sitting down or throwing your phone it's either compressive or impact strength. Take for example, glass, It's tough but not durable, in terms of yield strength, it sucks a little as well as for compressive and impact. But metal on the other hand contrasts all of that.
