MichaelD, 29 Mar 2021Nice phone + bad camera = bad phone. That is the case with Poco F3. That is an opinion presented as a fact. This phone is not for people who either: Don't care about photos, Don't need ultra high quality, or have a digital camera (like me).
Mobile phones aren't even made to take photos, they are telephones with access to applications, not digital cameras. Phones are good for the occasional photo, which this phone excels in, but not for the dramatic, beautiful, unique photos.

What is with the dimming display? This phone may have nice specs for the price but the display dimming is a big issue. Can this issue be fixed from software or is it hardware problem? The dimming is so bad that out at the sun the display gets so dark that it is impossible to see anything on the display.

For those who argue about metal or plastic frame. the exteral frame is plastic, but inside the phone there is a (by the looks of it) cast alluminum frame that gives the entire phone more rigidity. Still the quality of that frame is the cheapest possibile so the rigidity of this phone is far from the flagships that have an external cnc frame connected to a cnc internal one

That was a 250 euros phone and he compared it favourably to iPhone cameras.

Software plays a major part in the quality of the photos. Most of the quality is from post processing. Have a look online at how the poco F1 with the imx363 was improved with gcam sideloaded. Sony imx sensors are the best. They're better than the Samsung ones and they're better than omnivision. Maybe not the Carl Zeiss ones you see on some phones. But a Sony imx582 isn't crap. They don't do crappy sensors. Are there better? Yes. Is it terrible? No.

Camera and design- mi 11 lite
My opinion Mi 11 Lite 5G's camera ISP has more potential to be better than the Poco F3's camera.
Mi 11 Lite 4G's camera ISP images are only in par with the Poco F3's camera despite having the same sensor as the Mi 11 Lite 5G.
It still has more potential being a newer sensor with future software updates.
Design wise, I prefer the Poco F3's more upscale design.
The Mi 11 Lite series looks like a toy version of the Mi 11 with straighter lines.

beep bop boop, 30 Mar 2021read that part of the line again, he said if u sideloaded Gcam the camera would be excellentEven Gcam can't make crappy camera sensor in Poco F3 to be excellent. It can be passable with Gcam but nothing can help IMX 582 to be excellent.

What's the big deal about camera's in phones? You go somewhere on a holiday or something. You take pictures and whether you take them on an oppo A54 or a Samsung S21 ultra, they're going to be perfectly serviceable photos. Most people are not professional photographers. If they were, they'd use a camera not a phone. When you show those pictures to the next person, the difference isn't enormous. Yes the Samsung will be better but in general both pictures will clearly depict what was meant to be captured. The person you show it to is not going to say oh the reds aren't punchy enough, there's a lack of dynamic range and some noise. That talk is just b##locks with all due respect. A phone will never do as good a job as a professional photographers expensive camera.

You've just listed both phones processor which imo you can't even compare them. Ones an overclocked version of the SD 865+ and ones a mid range processor used in last years mi 10 lite
Your ability to read and decipher a sentence is rather worrying. My only guess is you're about 5
