when I opened it in browser and turned on the web for pc option on Chrome and it told that I am using a Linux pc instead of my redmi phone 😂😂😂

Indeed Chrome is spyware, and it knows, based on the data it has collected over the years about each and every individual, what our exact next phone model purchase shall be. If there were a creepy phone tool, spyware/Chrome would be it.

I think it’s a great addition to the website, especially now when Chinese phones have recycled styling and models and look very identical to each other.

I don't see any harm done with this feature. As mentioned its not for regular users but for normal folks its a good option to have, and seven years ago I would have appreciated that, right now some casual users will like that. It doesn't work in Firefox which I am using right now and that's a good thing.

Yes, like many others requesting for a dark mode in the comments section, I am too. Please add one. It's long overdue. That is for the mobile and desktop version.

i think gsmarena used what facebook has been using for years on mobile web browsers... it knows what phone you have and invites you to download its app

Tried it with my backup phone (RedMi Note 5 AI Dual Camera).
It reported it as RedMi Note 5, with an exact match of RedMi 5 Plus (which is Redmi Note 5 in India)
But, this is kinda useless to be honest.
