I work in sales and the majority of customers (everyday folk) go for cheaper things in general.
We rarely sales 200$+ Speaker/earphones. But 20$ to 35$ ones? Those sells like crazy.

I have 2 Homepods bought from BestBuy for $200 each while on sale, Paired as stereo and blown away by the sound quality I can also Airplay from Tidal for better sound quality.
Apple and subpar experience go hand in hand.
Google assistant is just so much better than Siri.
That being said, I would never have one of these assistants in my house.

That's sad but there is already a fierce competition in place (See Sonos :-))
