Maybe they need to come clean on their clash of interests. Or their various consultancy agreements.

Developments in image sensors is far from reaching its peak. It's great that Samsung is leaving the way along with Sony in the next generation of sensors.
Samsung needs to fix the CFA. Hint: Pattern needs fo get rid of the moiré and aliasing artefacts, along with light loss and detail loss.

Lccy, 04 Mar 2021Knowing Samsung, their 200mp sensors will probably have 16 in 1 binning and produce 12mp image... morePersonally i have no probs with a 12mp pics comes out from a binned 48, 64 even 108mp camera on mobile devices. 12mp is pretty much enough, especially if its make the images brighter and noise less. I do professional photography and with the camera as old as D3s, the 12mp resolution is enough for most things even printed for a wedding ceremony

So desperate to steal costumers from Sony that I bet they announce one with 1000MP before 2025. Do not doubt. Looks like a 300MP is on the way.
I remember to see in 2020 the Ice Universe posting IMX555 (S20) was better than HM1.
