It's almost like their upper-midrange for 2021, which, if you think about it, is a good idea. Right now the SD865 is probably in a "clear stock" phase so it's cheaper, and its performance is still - well - flagship grade. Just like the S10 Lite early this year, it will provide better performance and battery life compared to true upper midrange chipsets of next year, as well as the flagship features of the Snapdragon 865.
And yes it will be priced lower than a true flagship.

OppaiHunter69, 10 Dec 2020Idk what makes you guys think it's a copycat of S20 or S21. You guys blind or what?It is most definitely not a copy of the S21 lineup. Oppo has this camera aesthetic for a while now, starting from the Reno 3/4 depending on how you see it. Most phones in general are headed here, instead of having cameras floating around a glass square they now all have well-defined and almost "confident" camera rings, an aesthetic I personally really prefer over something like the Galaxy S20 Ultra.

Don't understand why they release a handset with 12 month old hardware this time of year??!! Just doesnt make sense with the SD888 just around the corner. Oh well - hopefully its a cheapie!
