That is the segment where such quality-compromises are often ignored for better specs. But I wouldn't fancy myself buying a Xiaomi flagship/upper-mid ranger anytime soon.

I really hope that Xiaomi is going to build their new flagship with the extendable telecamera they teased earlier. If that is compact yet stable and powerful enough as they claimed it should finally cast an end to all the ridiculous camera sensors. I am using the same concept in my point and shoot camera for 10 years now and it really serves almost every purpose for an enthusiast. Computational photography, much more advanced image sensors and the power of that Sd 888 could make a serious shift in mobile photography.
