Last decade, they had zero concerns about how thick phones were.
Now, none is going to buy a phone that has flat back but still 18mm (not counting camera) or 300g weight.

Few stuff that became "must have" among tech site reviewers and readers after samsung adopted.
Speaking of samsung, I can also list glass back, ip rating, stereo speakers, iris scanner, desktop mode, home button, home button as finger scanner, stacked dram camera, 960fps, 18:9 screen, speaker beside usb, flagship of 3 sizes, sided FPS.
If ppl wanna judge if something has utility or not, just judge the feature and not who is using.
It does not become more or less important if it is from A or B.

I can name some.
- Ultra wide angle camera (by far I think LG's biggest influence)
- QHD resolution (G3.)
- rear buttons and rear fingerprint placement
- Laser autofocus
- a taller screen ratio (G6 came before the S8)
- Stainless frame (yes, before the iphones, V10.)
- second screen (which is a ancient form of a notch)
- tap to wake
- leather back
- hand gestures (questionable, but Google adopted it)
- and great quad DAC that other manufacturers don't pay attention to.
Yes, I was a fan of LG.

1. Great screen to body ratio
2. Highend chipset - better than galaxy s4 of that year.
3. Double tap to wake
4. Rear power button which a lot phone later adopted to put tge finger print sensor.
5. Big battery (3000 mah) in 2013.
But after that it's a downfall.

honestly, I don't see the appeal in a device like this. the "feature" is only useful for a couple things, other than that it's just a show-off device
