Helio G90t is a midrange chip with the capacity an... moreYes i understand and what u said ita true but i saw both the performnace of poco x2 with 730g and redmi note 8 pro with g90t pubg gameplay at same settings.And that 730g ran much cooler than the redmi note 8pro.Again g90t is a great chip but surely i like dimesity 720 more it will outpass the sd730 and sd730g and wich replace them in new midrange phones.Its good gor us also qualcom has a monopoly in midrange market since long time good to see mediatek in the fight.

Dimensity 720 (along with SD690, and the forthcoming Dimensity 600) will lay the foundation for a wave of 5G smartphones priced near 1000CNY ($142) in Q3, and another wave of 5G smartphones priced near 700CNY ($100) in Q4. By the end of 2020, the transition from 4G phones to 5G phones will be "complete" and "total". "Pure" 4G phones will start to exit the market in 2021.
Except for phones priced below $100, probably from tier-3 or tier-4 phones makers, I don't see the point of any more "pure" 4G phones for 2021. For the same price, 5G phones will be better spec'd than 4G phones; and for phones with comparable specifications, 5G phones will be priced lower than 4G phones.

Helio G90t is a midrange chip with the capacity and option to compete with flaship chips. Therefore common sense should tell you that if you push it too hard then it is definitely gonna display midrange characteristics such as unsual heat. My note 8 pro can play most games in max settings but i don't push it that hard cos in the end it's still a midranger. Don't expect mangoes under a guava tree, comprende?

Finally, there is a true competitor to snapdragon. Qualcomm has a real problem right now. Am using a helio g90t(redmi note 8 pro) device now and it is awesome. Seriously am more interested in mediatek devices now than anything else in the market.

3 core GPU instead of 5 core
2 big core CPU, 6 small core CPU instead of 4 big/4small
Then we'll know the antutu will be roughly around 300K-330K

where is dimensity 1000? enough of new chipset. highly doubt company gonna price their product much lower than a dimensity 800/820. say a dimensity 800 device cost 250, so a dimensity 720 gonna cost what? 230? meh.
Not gonna supprise if some compant introduce a dimensity 720 device with higher price than a dimensity 800. why? they can cheap out the parts and still sell higher due to 5g marketing gimmick. u know oppo or vivo or even xiaomi might do this.

I suspect that this will be in the Snapdragon 730/720 performance range, possibly 765. I like how fast the 5G chips and phones are coming out, though. By next year, only entry-level phones will still be 4G-only.
