Even the SD670 is only on A75.

Anway, 4+4 or 2+6 should be the determine factor to say if the chip is efficient or weak performance, those largely depends on the technology and the manufacturing process. 4+4 chips can be very battery efficient, while 2+6 chips can also be very powerful when compared to competition chip in the same price range.

Besides, Why would Samsung even do that ?
About Google pixel SoC. Why would Samsung use AMD processor while they can use Exynos. Besides AMD isn't known for SoC making. Samsung is the one who's making SoC.
Why're you even thinking about that which isn't going to happen.
2021's most interesting(and confused) SoC will be Qualcomm 875.
Qualcomm is in big trouble.

Another chipset for Qualcomm in their 5G series. Any news on the what price range would this sit at?

So, none would buy the SoC then.
Viper, 17 Jun 2020I a article it was mentioned that amd C7 will have a 2core cortex X1 cores at 3.0ghz then two ... moreAMD SoC using the cortex X1 is very unlikely. I'm not saying it's impossible. But when X1 was introduced we knew that this performance core is only for specially partnered SoC maker. So, the partners are specific. One can't just rush in and use the core in their SoC.
The SoC maker must be in that X1 program or that SoC maker won't get their hands on cortex X1. For example : Suppose Qualcomm and Samsung are in the program. So, only Qualcomm and Samsung get to use X1 core and Huawei or MediaTek do not.
So, we can almost be 90% sure that AMD with cortex X1 core isn't happening.
About the GPU. Samsung has been working years for the GPU(This is why Samsung could make the Crap Mali GPU much more powerful and efficient than Kirin or Mediatek every year except this year exynos 990). It's not all AMD's knowledge in the GPU.
If it were then AMD could have done it alone. AMD can make good GPU/CPU but they can't make it efficient. Samsung is the one who's taking the Computer level efficient GPU down to mobile level efficient.
So, giving AMD independence to use the GPU in mobile market is highly unlikely.
Even if I take your information(rumor) to be true. From the specs I can tell that this SoC isn't going to be used in mobiles.
2 cortex X1 core running at 3.0 GHz and then 2 cortex A78 running at 2.8GHz is not going to be an efficient processor for mobile. To be efficient the must be no more than 1 cortex x1 core running at 3.GHz, no more than 1 cortex A78 core running at 2.6+ GHz.
If the rumors are true(which is not) it's definitely a SoC designed for chromebook or Laptop.
Love the Community, 17 Jun 2020AMD C7 is reported to be fake by the way.Can u please give me the link where its said that it is fake??.Every article i saw its mentioned that amd is working on C7 and it will launch at end of 2020.And one thing can happen that google asked samsung to make a new processor for them so samsung took help of amd and those amd C7 maybe be used on google pixel phones.Though this are my assumption so lets wait and see

Cyberchum, 17 Jun 2020Oh, you knew this, but started out attacking the mediatek chip? Great! I was attacking the 4+4 configuration as it is being used in midrange segment nothing else.Ita aure that those 4cores will provide agreat power i was just talking about long twrm efficiency and heat generation thats all i never said those chips are not fast cause everyone knows thwy are fast
I was kind of expecting the Snapdragon 775, after GSMArena teased it yesterday. It's nice to see a new 600 series memeber, though, especially with 5G. I wonder how it stacks up to the 765G, performance-wise.
Anyway, they are just about at the upper spectrum of the 600s, name-wise. They can, MAYBE, squeeze in a 695 and a 698, but what are they gonna name this series afterwards? They'll probably just start from the beginning again (610, 620, etc.).

Entering mobile SoC business is not easy. Their SoC won't be efficient.
If you're talking about power, then I must say that there is high possibility that AMD doesn't have access to the powerful Cortex X1 core. So, that makes it less powerful.
About GPU. I'm not really sure about that. Because the deal between Samsung and AMD is kinda foggy thing. But I'm pretty sure Samsung won't let the GPU be used in an AMD SoC which will be used in a mobile.
I'm actually curious to see what Nokia and Motorola can do with this chipset. Seeing this chipset as the successor of the 675, I definitely would like to see a successor to the Motorola One Zoom.
