LG OLED panels didn’t pass the quality test of Apple so Apple didn’t use it yet I think only for there mid range iPhone. Yeah Apple calls there displays retina since iPhone 4, but they have there own display still underdevelopment I think you know about the micro led and might be the first device from Apple comes with this display the upcoming iPad Pro.

Screen is not like cpu that any of these phone makes can design and pay someone else to make. You need display division for it.
Apple does not design screen nor cameras.
Apple just buy pieces and put commercial names on it.
Retina Display = more than 300ppi
Lidar = Single ToF (not even the dual type like v60 and 1 ii).

No matter what, samsung colors are always oversaturated and they wont try to be accurate, because this oversaturated colors giving you boosted colors that gives more "popping" or "punchy" colors and people enjoys it, this is the real reason why samsung phones are selling well, more popping colors. In the end its up to your personal preference whether you want this "boosted" colors or accurate/natural colors to you, personally for gaming I prefer samsung oversaturated colors, but for entertainment like movies I prefer Sony's color or LG.

To answer your question, not necessarily. A higher refresh rate makes the overall experience more fluid at the cost of higher power consumption. So a 60Hz phone might not be as smooth as a 90Hz or 120Hz phone, but the display quality will be the same overall.

I can't help not being in awe and wonder of my first gaming smartphone. I still can't get over it these past 3 months or something. I realise the difference... Unbox therapy and Mr whose the boss on YouTube have also come out publically recently and spoken very well of gaming smartphones.
I didn't realise what I was missing out on before... Now friends with there iPhones are realisng. Quickly. To the point where they are ordering red magics... I just want other people to experience what I have am experiencing. But be careful. They are even more addictive. So a balanced lifestyle is important.

IpsDisplay, 22 May 2020Here is your problem this isn't a lower quality SAMOLED screen, this is an IGZO OLED very effi... moreI've tried my gf's phone, its abso-freakingly-impressive!!! especially when you gaming with music-game that needs really fast reaction to tap, this phone makes you a master even you are noob lol!!
although this IGZO OLED are battery efficient compared to others, but still the battery still drain quite fast, but still enough for typical a day usage (it depends on your usage pattern, typical japanese people usage maybe enough) because they got very much smart battery-saving modes inside, but I recommend you to bring power bank as backup :D
