I don't understand why people want oleds. It's flickering so much, even with DC dimming, I don't get the physics behind why is it like that. probably the weird subpixel layout - whereas IPS has neat, even, big subpixel layout, leds are smaller and are all over the place in uneven way. That makes image look constantly having some kinda noise/grain and it's just killing me.
And I don't get the hype about crazy contrast ratio on oled - it's absolutely overrated and is marketing strategy from Samsung (buy our screens they are best and have fancy names).
Long live the IPS!

Sorry, my opinion is that super amoled tehnology is better, for contrast, for sun visability, for brightness, for deep blacks, than ips, or pls or tft.. But, then again, if i look in a 100-200 euros phone, those are mostly with ips screens, and you can use to it.. Because you pay 100 euros, not more. Even lats Xiaomi phones i midrange, like notre 10 lite mi 20 zoom, last year mi9 lite, mi9t, have suoer amoled, and those screens on those xiaomi phones looks good (- brigtness sensor, but thats a another story). Botton line, if you paying more than 200 euros, today, super amoled is a must, after all, we looks in a screen, not in a SoC inside, all the time of using the phone.

To put an end to oled vs LCD... Oled is brighter but will fry your eyes (even with low brightness). LCD gets less brighter but won't hurt as much your eyes

Where are you from, those phones (and brands) are mainstream in your country, city? IPS, you forgot from 2019 10R, maybe is not as good as 10s, and 10s Max (with OLED) hehe.. But still, it is a worldwide known brand and available brand.
Don't get me wrong i don't have anyuthing against IPS screens, but, i think that IPS screen fits best in a under 300 euros price tag, not above.. Looking at those new iPhones from this year (12, 12 Pro.. Etc), looking at Samsungs, Huawei , Xiaomi, LG, Motorola, Sony.. Flagships (and screen tehnology) it seems that OLED will be in flagships (and more and more in midrangers), long time, or until, another tehnology like microLED, becomes cheaper than OLED for OEMs. :)

One Flagship with IPS from 2019(I define flagship as mostly having a high tier processor Snapdragon 865 for example)

But with high refresh rate trend expect more, it's a shame apple delayed the miniled iPad
Prepare yourself for a wave of miniled smartphones in a year or two
Miniled is LCD by the way
As for the high proportion of oled currently available remember this..
-A sun shines it's brightest when it is dying
And if you dare to know about display technology beyond smartphones its plain as day what the future holds

Screen, and why you can't? Sharp, is same as Vertu, one and another does not sell, phones or smartphonese, here in old continent in the last 10-15 years.. Quantum, the one in LG G4? It was ok (for IPS) but still worse in cilor reproduction than some LG made OLEDs.. :D
IPS is (today in 2020), for low end, and (some) midrange phones, only, at least wirh current tehnology..
The LCD vs OLED debate is heating up, again. It seems fun LOL (I like both LCD and OLED if you ask).

OLED is at a dead end Nothing to enhance the tech but quantum dots
LCD on the other hand has so much going for it , youd think because it's so old it can't evolve much
There is OLCD, DUAL Cell LCD , Blue LCD
OLED cannot evolve from its organic weaknesses
LCD can overcome every single flaw
