XZP was released with nougat and got updated to pie. Why are you comparing with that? Who says updates are provided based on cpus? Don't you know about Samsung's infamous exynos 7870 which was used over a few years but all phones still get 2 major updates? No excuse from Sony. It's embarrassing.

Nobody gives different updates for differents phones with same cpu.
How would they justify giving 10 to xz1 but not xz premium when Premium is better phone, with same cpu from same year?

I don't want to see comments about how fast Sony is with their updates because it applies to their flagships only.

Your math is way off but the fact is that Xperia flagships got 10 update before all but German S10, all of the LGs, all of the Huaweis, all of Nokias except one model and before all those Realme, Oppo, Vivo and Xiaomis except Mi9. OnePlus updated it's phones before Sony and that's about it.

GJ Sony ... moreThey were late with this update, but the one for Xperia 1/5 came in early December - same time as Nokia 9 and S10 update. LG didnt update the G8 or V50 until January and other phones had it worse, like the Rog 2 which got it in march. Not many phones got the update before December, so I wouldn't be sour about that

This update was scheduled to be in early february.
The 2018 phones had issues with android 10, then they gave them priority over 10/10+.
XZ1 does not have android 10 because it had 8 out of box instead of 7.1.
Same CPU = same updates.
XZ Premium does not have android 10, then XZ1 will not have as well.
Same way XZ3 will not have 11.
This is why 5 was shipped with android 9 instead of 10, so ppl wont complain again.

Sony dropped the updates on the XZ1, it pisses me off, but that does not prevent that I will keep my XZ1 Compact as long as possible soon 3 years and I am very satisfied
