Guys, is there any company that gives two major Android updates to their mid-range models (around 200 euros or more), besides the Android One program?
Will for example phones that initially got Android 9 like Samsung Galaxy A50, Xiaomi Note 8 Pro, Huawei P Smart Z ever get Android 11?
Bug Bug and Bug. What doing......... it's disgusting
only amatheurs working for xiomi, guys at xda will make it better and faster
Android One phones were Always shit. Requires tons of work just go get AOSP working well.
The regular miui variants at least fixes most of the AOSP bugs
I was update my mi A3 Android 10
Then I face lots of problem like a Over hitting issue
And Performance very bad etc problem
I am Not satisfied!
Xiaomi what are you doing? Crazy times with this Android One phone. Bug after bug!
Now the phone is Very very stable.
I am glad I went Samsung and skipped this Mi A3.
Surprisingly, even my A6+ already got the Android 10 update and without that much bugs.
Meanwhile my Redmi Note 8 didn't even receive it once.
Xiaomi is a terrible brand as far as I'm concerned.
i just hope that there's an update for mi a1,ik the major update was 2 years already but (sigh)
anything but mi, 24 Apr 2020If you want a cheap android one phone, buy the pixel 4a. Xiaomi sucks.$400 isnt cheap at all.
Camera app yet crashing
Xiaomi should be shame of this phones. They were killer phones with android one but they messed up so but that they don't deserve to have. I had Mi A2 and Mi A3. It is dissapointing to see this situation. I hope they do not mess with android 11 update but thats like a dream never come true
Anonymous, 24 Apr 2020Yes you're right, i think Xiaomi does that on purpose, to sells more phones with MIUI. Yes, bu... moreI agree, the updates via Play Store have the potential to be a game changer. I am still a little bit conservative, but you are right in your analysis. As for HMD, they could either use the AOSP launcher, or make a deal with a 3rd-party launcher (e.g., Nova). I wouldn't be too concerned about the launcher, they have options available for a quick-fix.
Kamal, 24 Apr 2020I would suggest the Mi 10 Pro if you guys bricked your Mi A3 from the latest update, it's the ... moreSure, let's just throw nearly 1000Eur at the company running this sh*tshow... what could go wrong?
Anonym, 24 Apr 2020Same as Motorola or OnePlus, keep selling near stock Android (just won't have the blessing of ... moreYes you're right, i think Xiaomi does that on purpose, to sells more phones with MIUI. Yes, but problem is HMD phones use Launcher3, since beginning and only Launcher3. Xiaomi have MIUI, Motorola have (even in Androidone, Moto Launcher), OnePlus, same, but HMD is in the same situation like it was 2017 with first phones. They can't develop own skin for 4 years, and thats why, it's question, what will be after Google turnoff androidone programm.
Androidone was i theory about fast(er) updates, than phones with custom skins, and we all see that's bot a case and not only with A3, but also some other last year mid-low phoness are on Android 9. Anyway after Android 10, updates going tru a Play Store, so now is no difference in updstes speed.
