2 years of updates are still something other companies should learn from.. Sony, LG, Asus, Lienovo, HTC..

      Disgraceful.
Samsung have so many phones out. But for the flagships people paying premium prices should have longer support.

If ur getting One Ui 2.0 Android 10 then y ur worried about android 11 one ui 2..1. Surely they will give Android 11 because they support flagship phones for 3 years. If they not give then still u have option of XDA Developers Roms.

I would rather invest on my TV for 60,000 INR which I can happily enjoy atleast 5 to 10 years, rather than on an expensive flaghsip gadget becoming a price-lost gadget after 2 years.
Flagships are for people who care about the features (aka people who dont mind about money)...
I insist Samsung to provide a free 43" UHD TV or any home appliance with their marvelly priced flagship phones... probably I am looing at it then, Otherwise Except for camera, the mid-range phones are sufficient these days... I can live with it.... S9 will be my last flaghip..RIP

Surprising is not the S9 and Note 9 do not receive the One UI 2.1
And yes the S10 and Note 10 received One UI 2.1, which was not seen since the Note 5 with TouchWiz Grace UX and S6 with TouchWiz 5.1.

Essential made a single product before going bankrupt. Pretty easy to dedicate all your resources on one single device running stock Android.

Besides, you're mad because a post claiming that Samsung would improve their support policy was seemingly contradicted (it's not though, see my previous comment). So you're may a hypothetical situation did not happen.

Or you're mad because Samsung has a very predictable support policy since a decade?

Though I'll be clear that you have the right to ask for improvements. It's just that being mad for this isn't really logical

Information may not be so reliable but if that's right, it just shows how incapable Samsung is providing support to its phones. Apple, OnePlus, and even Xiaomi (despite bugs in some of their models/early builds) are doing better. Security patch is outdated and it just makes your phone more susceptible to malware. S9/Note 9 onwards are failed products anyway, where the iPhone XR/XS/XS Max shine.

Word of warning. Live chat reps from Samsung are known to serve inaccurate information. Officials information should always preempt any contradictory information from live chat reps. This info was obtained through a feature of Samsung Members to ask support reps about stuff. And what do you know, they are also live chat reps...

Essential, A BRAND NEW COMPANY, managed to deliver 3 major updates to their FIRST PHONE that was made in 2017! Yet Samsung can't even properly deliver updates to their 2 year old phone?

sadh, 31 Mar 2020How Apple could ups their SoC every year by huge margin, yet iOS updates are delivered up to 5... moreThey still don't have nearly as many devices to cover as Samsung (or most other manufacturers). Sure, Samsung could provide updates to 5 year old devices, but it would need to dedicate a lot more time and manpower to do that. And for what? Most people get a new phone after 2 years anyways.
