Samsung is officially killing their Exynos SoCs running on Mongoose cores. They are moving back to ARM, which might explain the abundance and spamming of Exynos chipset in every minor refresh/release.

Samsung's midrange Exynos SoC of choice has been stale ever since their custom SoC has been disbanded which the main reason why they're spamming 9611 in midrange. lol.

Price and camera system difference, since less variation in production means cheaper to produce.
Xiaomi do the same thing with Redmi Note 9 Pro and Pro Max.
Not to mention, Xiaomi and RealMe is able to be cheap at cost of something, from less strict QC, less support, less marketing and mandatory marketing/ads in your phone.
Samsung overhead is bigger than those two, so they need to suppress the production cost as best as they can to compete in price.
M21 and M31 is currently geared against Realme C3, 6 and Xiaomi 8a, note 8.
And they need to use 9611 to compete against SD439 and G70.
Problem being, 9611 is also used in A51 who are supposedly midranger... supposedly need at least SD712

AnonD-798582, 18 Mar 2020*It's basically a Galaxy M30s with upgraded selfie camera.Samsung dont know how to make their customer happy. There is difference between m21 and m30s. I can't understand what is the point releasing same spec Phone in different name. Realy if I need to buy a phone in this price bracket from samsung I will go for old one only. Same way huwaei and lenovo. Same specs phones in different name.
