p30 pro since sensor is different. The IMX 586 was used in last year's budget flagships as primary camera.
I guarantee you that 10x hybrid optical from S20 ultra will have better quality than 10x optical zoom from p40 pro. Huawei providing smaller weak sensor for telephoto.

But let's temper the excitement a little.....
To say Samsung has raised the bar is a real joke...
They've increase megapixels but at the expense of smaller pixels and they just caught up optical zoom
Huawei in comparison worked with Sony Leica etc and set its own lane for RYYB image sensors almost from the ground up
Helped Pioneered high optical zoom
Literally was the first to bring night mode staking well before the pixel series.

I don't care who "sets the bar" as long as there are competitors to "set it higher". Competition is what brings innovation & price reduction.
Earlier there was only Huawei playing the High-End camera game, this year Xiaomi & Samsung have joined in (& probably more will join in later). This will make the smartphone marketplace that much more interesting & competitive.
As a consumer & a tech enthusiast, I'm loving it.

Dont care about those small pixel size used at 108mp (even actual camera full frame dont exceeds 64mp, 48mp are norm) or either those bad quality 100x 'space' zoom.
So no, the bar just set very little, until P40 comes out. Samsung took 1 year, Huawei just need a month to answer.

The 8 megapixel 240mm equivalent camera will be very interesting. Should achieve much better photos of birds than any other phone.
