FreezeGame, 25 Feb 2020Huawei is standing on its last legs. With the failure of this ridiculous Mate Xs, it's all dow... moreExcept they haven't gotten caught. They haven't even really been accused. It's been _implied_ that such a thing is possible, and that's enough for some people to believe and jump on a bandwagon.

meanwhile Apple is being openly pressured to allow the american government to do the exact same thing for them.

It's all political BS, and the US/China squabbling is hurting the telecommunications industry as a whole.

SpiritWolf, 26 Feb 2020You can usually remove screen protector without consequences. If you can't, it's not a protect... moremy bad. yes, if it is pre-applied and cannot be removed then it is part of the screen. regardless, there is still utg as evident from the cracked screen on the crease area, so samsung did not lie about utg- it is glass indeed.

alca, 25 Feb 2020I'm a european living in China and after a long time of clinging on to common brands available... moreAs if quality devices are not available from many other companies? The huge difference is having peace of mind in knowing that you are not being spied on through network backdoors. Not to mention, Google support on an Android device is crucial to its longevity.

Huawei is all, but done. Its multiplatform OS and mobile services are not nearly enough to save the company. Without a proper ecosystem, it is only a matter of time before Huawei throws in the towel. Otherwise, the company will have to admit to its wrong doing, and accept any severe penalties which comes along with it. Either way, the chances of survival are slim to none.

Depending on the Honor device you have, Google support may still be available.

              https://www.pocket-lint.com/phones/news/huawei/148102-what-does-huawei-s-google-ban-mean-for-your-huawei-or-honor-phone

"The Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro aren't available in the US and Europe - neither is the Honor V30 series.

These phones do come with Android 10 (with Huawei's EMUI 10 user interface on top). But they don't come with Google apps and you can only install them via a relatively convoluted and dodgy process.

We're expecting the upcoming Huawei P40 and P40 Pro to be in the same boat. Ridiculous as it sounds given the success of other recent Huawei handsets, we're not sure whether networks will stock them due to the lack of Google apps."

Also, when the company who develops the software which is essential to a device's survival rallies against you, a disastrous outcome is inevitable.

              https://www.bbc.com/news/technology-51613577

              Moreover:

              https://bgr.com/2020/02/24/huawei-us-ban-google-play-store-apps-explainer/

"In addition, sideloaded Google apps will not work reliably because we do not allow these services to run on uncertified devices where security may be compromised. Sideloading Google’s apps also carries a high risk of installing an app that has been altered or tampered with in ways that can compromise user security."

That's a pretty good price, with this price point I won't even take a glimpse. Better to buy golds for future saving.

If the prices for current foldable smartphones are the "cheapest," you can bet Apple's foldable iPhone - if they even make one - will cost $20k.

I have to say it's a great device. I'm a convert. The premium feel, value, longevity, updates availability is all excellent. Before wasn't bad but this is definitely a step up.

Hey, Huawei, don't spy on customers and then play the victim once you've gotten caught. I would never purchase nor recommend anything from this shady company.
