Wifi calling is not possible if the signals are good to make or receive calls on jio network. It works only in the network not available places.

S . SUDHAKAR, 10 Jan 2020This feature will not work if the phone is in flight mode.Obviously it will not work in flight mode. As wifi calling is use just when your network coverage is poor hence then u can use wifi calling in those areas only. Well it worked in my house very well over bsnl broadband service but I was charged for making call on other network that was not free... lol

Also most of the companies support wifi calling.

Sorry I'm... moreSay you have only one bar of network then over WiFI you can make crystal clear call as Jio will use your wifi to improve call quality its like using your wifi as mobile network to improve call quality in low reception areas , i believe the calls are not charged also , especially good if you are calling Non - Jio Numbers.

Sorry I'm... moreWhat I think is, with Whatsapp the person whom you are calling needs to have wifi and whatsapp installed on his phone, but with this jio wifi calling, the receiver need not have wifi or whatsapp on his phone.

Sorry I'm... moreThe difference is that the call will go through wifi using the normal phone app. This is big if you have low signal range in your area and have have a wifi network setup at home thus eliminating the reliance on Signal tower. Atleast this is my understanding.
