They've been taught all their lives that supporting the government is supporting the honor and dignity of country. So as such, people have been buying more expensive Huawei phones to support their beloved government.

Maybe they have some privilege in china or very special subsidies what others don't have.

It can't, what with the prevalence of other brands at cheaper prices in China. And it can't get bigger in the West because of the lack of Google services.

Only one who should be worried now is Samsung. Huawei could be top 1 with all the sanctions! That's how big market of China is.

We all know that Huawei will surpass Samsung in terms of hardware in the future so there is no doubt if Huawei claim its rights and beat the so called great phones

As great as the home market of China is, it's a short term solution, especially when we consider companies like Xiaomi, Oppo, and Vivo will take advantage as well. Huawei is being attacked on two sides and is definitely going good right now, but I can't see it lasting.

And also unfortunately as soon as the 1k plus point boomed is only when Sony finally decided to put a little effort back in their devices.
Thin glass slabs with small and reused cameras, no headphone jack, weak batteries or barely just getting better batteries, etc. And 1k price tags. It's become exceptionally uninspiring.

Look I like Huawei, I have a Huawei phone and I consider they are reliable devices. But Huawei has turned into this brand that believes they are super premium and wants to charge you accordingly while providing products behind companies like Xiaomi. The main P-Series phones and main Mate series phones are no doubt among the best devices, but anything other than those gives specs that lack here and there compared to other companies.

The best Huawei phones from 2019 didn't even make it out of China (Honor 9X's, Honor View's, Nova's, Mate's) and they plan to say they are selling as much as say Samsung, which had a successful launch with their new A, Note10, S10 series.
