I know many people been complaining a lot about specs and how the actual phones would look like, but if they launch an iPhone SE 2 Plus or whatever the name may be, I wouldn't complain, since I like large displays (whether they decide to put an 5.5 or 6.1 inches) and I really don't mind the old design with the home button, i'm sure it would be a powerful phone with decent cameras (for the average user). People like to complain a lot about specs and price but it's simple, if I can't afford it I either save money to buy it or I don't buy the thing altogether If I don't like it. This would be a cool device for people that really would like to stick with the traditional apple design from 2014-2017 and also keeping a fair "low" price, compared with the newer designs.

The saga of charging alone is enough, unless they move to the graphene batteries with several days of juice!

Apple keep all their developments as secret as possible and they work on them for years before the public even sees a glimpse of what theyre working on.

Apple doesnt release something until it has benn tested, retested, and redesigned countless times until the results are perfect. So no, Apple started development of this many years ago. That unknown brand you mentioned just happened to release a prototype to the worlds eyes recently. Apple did not as its not in their policy to brag about anything that isnt a final design.

Anonymous, 06 Dec 2019can't wait till android copies itWhy? Portless phones are a shit. You can't charge while do some activity or in movement. You can't connect wired devices. At the end, they'll give you IP68 that already have a lot of models even with headphone jack. And you'll lose it at the first drop that cracks the glass. Because glass is glass...

Apple will use propietary protocols for service, custom and repairements. It'll be even more restrictec than now. With only wireless charging by authorized wireless chargers that pay royalties, yes expensive ones. Etc. All controlled by their "$ecurity" chips.

...or they'll release the iPhone 11s. I have a feeling 11s is the safe bet here. Like the 11, but with even more optimised synthetic benchmark cheat modes.
